Private Reception and Musical Evening Opening: Fenton House
Private Reception and Musical Evening Opening: Fenton House

When: Thursday 17 May 2012
6.30 - 8.00 pm
Where: Fenton House
Janine Catalano

Described by Country Life as ‘London’s most enchanting country house’, Fenton was built in 1686 and remains virtually unchanged. Opened exclusively for alumni and Samuel Courtauld Society members after hours, it is home to a range of first-rate collections: fine porcelain, historic furniture and decorative needlework; works of art by the Camden Town Group, including Duncan Grant and Walter Sickert; and Europe’s most impressive collection of early keyboard instruments.

After a wine reception and introduction by Custodian (and former Courtauld Research Forum Manager) Joseph Watson in their beautiful gardens (weather permitting), guests will tour the house and enjoy the evocative sound of historical instruments being played by experts in situ, a unique experience that is not to be missed. This is a joint event with the Samuel Courtauld Society.

Booking: Due to limited capacity, spaces are strictly limited. There is a £10 per person charge for this event (no charge for Samuel Courtauld Society members). Please contact or on 020 7848 1082 as soon as possible to reserve y our place and arrange payment.
